Season 3 of Zombicide is live on Kickstarter! A game by Guillotine Games, produced by Cool Mini or Not, about surviving in a zombie-ridden apocalyptic world. Season one was a big success, season 2 even more so. Season 3 is expected to surpass both. As with Season 2, this season has one standalone box called Rue Morgue and an addon box called Angry Neighbours. This is from the Kickstarter page:
Zombicide Season 3: Rue Morgue is a cooperative game set in an action-movie universe for 1 to 12 players, ages 13 and up. Players control teams of survivors as they fight off a zombie horde controlled by the game itself. Survivors find weapons, battle zombies, and gain experience. The more experienced they get, the more powerful they become, but the more zombies they attract!
Zombicide Season 3: Rue Morgue is designed as both a standalone game and as an expansion! It offers everything you need to enter the Zombicide universe and is 100% compatible with all other Zombicide products! Skinner Zombies, Crawlers, and the A-Bomb Abomination!
Zombicide Season 3: Rue Morgue introduces a terrifying new zombie type: the Skinner Zombie! Make sure you put these zombies down hard, otherwise something might come crawling for you….
... and don't forget Zombicide Season 3: Rue Morgue's new big bad is the A-Bomb Abomination! An Abomination so twisted and mutated that its elongated arms can drag you back to it as you try to escape! Team Up and Load Up!
With all these new foes you're going to need to team up if you want to survive!! Zombicide Season 3: Rue Morgue introduces teams into the Zombicide franchise!
Players pick from the largest pool of survivors in a Zombicide game yet and form teams to scavenge, loot, and kill zombies! And if you really want to shred through the shuffling dead, you’ll first need to make sure your team has skills that complement each other well.
Then you'll want to get your hands on the vicious new weapons available to survivors in Rue Morgue, things like bows, knives, and Ak-47s! But if you prefer to cleave with the classics Rue Morgue also host a large roster of old standbys from previous Zombicide games like chainsaws and shotguns!
Act as a Team!
New to the Zombicide franchise in Season 3: Rue Morgue are Team Action cards! Team Action cards allow survivors of the same team to execute a single action simultaneously, simulating military-like moves born from bloody experience. Shower that zombie horde with a rain of bullets as your entire team opens fire at once!
And Fight Off Your Deadliest Foe Yet! Zombicide Season 3: Rue Morgue has new zombies, new weapons, new survivors, and even new team mechanics, but the biggest game changer of all is the new optional Player versus Player rule set!
Yes, in Rue Morgue players' teams can go toe-to-toe to see which set of Survivors really deserve to survive! If the zombie apocalypse isn't horrifying enough for you, then prepare to face off against the deadliest foe yet: man! New Setting, New Tile Types! Zombicide Season 3: Rue Morgue brings players back into the Zombicide universe a few months after the previous games! The world is even more worn down. Buildings are dilapidated, food is scares, and, most importantly, medicine is in short supply!
Enter Rue Morgue, a hospital that seems perfect for looting! Promising survivors with the possiblity of weapons, food, and medicine, this hospitial could be filled to the brim with supplies, but could also be over-run with zombies! Season 3: Rue Morgue offers Zombicide players with an exciting and deadly new setting! Rue Morgue's tiles range from city streets and helipads to hopital hallways and outbreak tents that could be swarming with zombies!
Well, I've backed again. You can never have enough zombies! Plus, this time the are some new types of zombies, V.I.P.'s, that make killing them even more fun! And a new zombie animal too: CROWZ!
So looking forward to this one arriving. We love the previous seasons, so I can't imagine this one will be any different. So far we're not overly bothered with the VIP rules though... I think we'll be using them as normal walkers
